Today, Representative Mike Garcia (CA-25) co-sponsored a resolution that commemorates the 30th Anniversary of Operation Desert Storm. This resolution would commemorate the operation’s hundred-hour ground campaign and honors the legacy and service of America’s Desert Storm veterans.
“As a combat veteran, I know how important it is to honor the sacrifices that our men and women in the armed forces make,” said Garcia. “That is why I am proud to co-sponsor the resolution to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Operation Desert Storm. This resolution commemorates the victory and the sacrifices made by our brave men and women who served in Desert Storm, including the 299 men and women who paid the ultimate price. I hope that this resolution receives the bipartisan support it deserves.” February 24, 2021 marks the 30th anniversary of the start of Operation Desert Storm’s hundred-hour ground campaign. The resolution commemorates the service of the 697,000 Desert Storm veterans, including the 299 men and women who lost their lives in Operation Desert Storm. |
