Mike Garcia Discusses Inflation, Getting Americans Back to Work

Joins CNBC’s Squawk Box

Representative Mike Garcia (CA-25) joined CNBC’s Squawk Box to discuss the need for the federal government stop burdensome regulations and mandates and instead lower taxes and allow businesses to grow and thrive.

“What the federal government needs to do is enable small businesses, large businesses, and taxpayers to get back to work and continue to grow so they gain confidence and reinvest in their companies,” said Garcia on Squawk Box.

He stressed how bad federal policies are negatively impacting Americans throughout the country, specifically in California.

“The blue-collar workers are suffering. We're seeing $5.50 gas right now. The federal government needs to do its job, get out of the way of the market, secure the southern border, hold China accountable, tackle our debt, pass a budget, and start introducing some fiscal conservative policies that will get the country back in line,” said Garcia on Squawk Box.

Garcia also emphasized the need to get America’s economy back on track.

“We cannot continue to allow it [COVID-19] to cripple our nation and economy. We have to mitigate the risk, get as many people vaccinated as we can, but not encroach on our Constitution,” said Garcia on Squawk Box. “We must stop using this virus as a weapon and tool to erode and encroach on our Constitutional rights.”
