WASHINGTON, D.C. – Representative Mike Garcia (R-CA) co-sponsored the Pre-Existing Conditions Protection Act of 2021, which would ensure that Americans with pre-existing health conditions have guaranteed access to quality coverage and are not excluded or required to pay more due to their health conditions.

“We need to ensure that patients with pre-existing conditions are protected – this is something we can all agree on,” said Garcia. “That is why I am proud to co-sponsor the Pre-Existing Conditions Protection Act of 2021, which will protect patients with pre-existing conditions. I am committed to ensuring that Californians in the 25th District, and all Americans, have greater control over their health care. We need to do more to provide Americans with quality, affordable choices when it comes to health care.”

The Pre-Existing Conditions Protection Act of 2021 was originally introduced by the House Energy and Commerce Committee Republican Leader Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA).
