Mike Garcia Applauds House Passage of Honoring Our PACT Act

Representative Mike Garcia (CA-25) released the following statement on the House passage of the Honoring our PACT Act.
Today, Representative Mike Garcia (CA-25) released the following statement on the House passage of the Honoring our PACT Act. Garcia was one of the 123 Republicans that crossed party lines to vote in favor of the legislation, which would allow the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to improve health care accessibility and benefits to veterans suffering from disabilities related to toxic chemical exposure.

“I’ll always be a steadfast supporter of our servicemembers, while they serve and after their time in the military. Too many veterans suffer lifelong consequences from being exposed to toxic chemicals while serving our country,” said Garcia. “I am pleased this critical legislation passed the House and I will continue my work in Congress to ensure our veterans receive quality health care. Support for our patriots cannot stop after they return home and turn in their uniform.”

Garcia is a former U.S. Navy Fighter Pilot that flew over 30 combat missions during Operation Iraqi Freedom in the skies above Baghdad, Fallujah, and Tikrit.
